“The Holdover” is a fun and raunchy short film that parodies the classic holiday movie “The Holdovers.” Set in the empty environment of a college fraternity house, the film follows Sean Hamill, a laid-back fraternity brother who finds himself the sole occupant of the house during the holiday break. Initially looking forward to a quiet, carefree week of lounging, Sean’s boredom soon gets the better of him.

Soon tired of playing football and pickleball by himself, he starts binge-watching erotic videos. As the tedious afternoon unfolds, what starts as a simple, naughty time-killer spirals into nonstop orgasms.

As he turns his bed into a trampoline, this short film blends comedic elements with a nostalgic nod to the over-the-top antics of classic teen comedies. 

“Peep-O-Rama” is an outrageous music video taking viewers on a wild ride through the seedy underbelly of 1990s Times Square, New York City. Parodying ‘The Deuce” and Madonna’s iconic video, the spectacle unfolds as a peep-show gallery amidst live shows, prostitution, and the constant wail of police sirens.

Sensational male dancer Yusuf Abdullah takes center stage, channeling Madonna’s sultry energy as he navigates the chaos around him with fearless abandon. 

As the camera pans through dimly lit corridors, viewers are treated to a voyeuristic glimpse of life on the fringes of society. With its pulsating beats and im-your-face debauchery, “Peep-O-Rama” is an homage to the forbidden pleasures and thrills of a bygone era, when viewers embraced the sleaze – letting their inhibitions run wild.

“Etude” mean “Study” in French, which is foundational to the Art of the Solo. The idea is to capture the pure essence of a subject – paring away ornamentation or superfluous “production value” – to reveal the raw truth.

The model is meant to be a mere canvas for expression, leaving a mark on the viewer’s imagination – showcasing a pure singular presence – immortalized in a moment frozen in time. Stripped bare of distractions, the Etude offers a glimpse into the soul of the individual, allowing his essence to shine through with clarity.

Victor – a Venezuelan/American model whom I and my camera assistant filmed in Dubai – has bulked up considerably since our shoot and taken on a “gangsta” look (in pursuit of a career in straight porn, having actually become quite successful at that). But still, I prefer this leaner, more innocent — albeit smoldering — look from the time we did our shoot.

Joseph Sarov is a first prize gymnastics winner whose victory reprise performance is the center of the evening. As he takes the stage, his meticulously choreographed displays of physical strength captivate the audience, evoking memories of a time when such exhibitions were commonplace in Eastern European and Soviet society.

Yet, beneath the glittering facade lies an undercurrent of anachronism, as the traditions of the past clash with the realities of the present. In the brave new world of high-decibel disco gyms and modernity, the glorification of physical fitness in such a manner feels out of place, struggling to preserve its relevance.
